6 Beach Resorts Where You Can Relax In Luxury

When you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of work, endless to-do lists, and city life, there's nothing quite like a vacation by the beach. Many resorts around the world offer luxurious lodging options, with unique amenities to help guests unwind. In no particular order, this list showcases several waterfront hotels that make a splash.

At #1, we have Alohilani Resort, a hotel at Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. It has a saltwater infinity pool with private cabanas, as well as a pool bar that transitions into an event space featuring local musicians at night. Guests can also enjoy the two onsite restaurants conceived by internationally acclaimed Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto.

The resort's two-story, saltwater Oceanarium contains a large variety of colorful native Hawaiian reef fishes. Little ones can join the Monkeypod Kids' Club, which offers hands-on, indoor, and outdoor events for those ages 5-12. Kids will learn about Hawaiian culture, history, environment, and traditions.

The #2 entry is the Koh Jum Beach Villas, located in the eponymous area within Krabi, Thailand. Adjacent to a jungle and tropical gardens, this boutique resort offers nineteen individually designed villas, several with private pools and sunset views overlooking the Phi Phi National Marine Park.

The villas have multiple dining options. The onsite restaurant serves dishes that center the use of fresh organic ingredients, many of which come from the resort's own garden. Most of the villas have a kitchen installed, and guests can book private chef services if desired.

Coming in at #3 is Frangipani Beach Resort. This family-owned and operated boutique hotel is located on the Caribbean island of Anguilla. Frangipani has a wide variety of activities for all ages and abilities, such as pools, water sports, and private boat charters allowing guests to explore the rest of the island and off-shore cays.

The resort is home to the Plumeria Balinese Spa, where guests can book massages, facials, and other services. Those looking to stay in shape can enjoy the tennis courts, complimentary bicycles, or fitness center. Meanwhile, the Cuisinart Resort Golf Course is only minutes away.

Up next, at #4, we present Watermark Beach Resort in Osoyoos, British Columbia. Guests can choose from one of the suites in the hotel's main building, which offer scenic views of the adjacent lake, city, or mountains. The onsite amenities include a yoga studio, a spa, a swimming pool, and hot tubs.

Watermark can be booked for a variety of special occasions, including weddings. Couples can select from several spaces for the ceremony, with the beachside on Osoyoos Lake being one option. Pets are allowed at the resort, and are accommodated by nearby walking trails and a dog beach.

For #5, we get Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach, a Mediterranean-inspired hotel in Sunny Isles, Florida, with both rooms and residences available to book. It offers an oceanfront spa, several beachside dining establishments including Il Mulino New York, swimming pools, and the marine biology-based AcquaMarine children's program.

Acqualina offers many wedding packages, and can host events of varying sizes. Many guests find it ideal for ceremony photographs as it is built completely open to the ocean, free of barriers. The hotel's event staff is available to assist with all details pertaining to the big day, such as flowers, design, and dinner menus.

Last but not least, at #6, we have Harbour Village Beach Club, set on the secluded Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire. It features a yacht marina and an oceanfront collection of rooms, suites, and villas. All guests are allowed use of the private beach, lounge chairs, and hammocks.

Great Adventures Bonaire, the onsite professional dive center, offers instructional courses for all levels, a retail shop, a full range of services, and daily boat outings from the Harbour Village dock. Guests can charter cruises and guided dives for both kids and adults.
