Editor's Notes

August 08, 2019:

The Lynk Professional comes in a variety of sizes, including four- and six-inch widths, so it will work for just about any cabinet size. Its dual ball bearing glides ensure that it slides smoothly, even under heavy loads, and it's made from strong, chrome-plated steel, so it should last for years. The Vertical Spice Cabinet-Mounted is a similar option with clear acrylic front and back panels that allow you to see where all your spices are. The side of each drawer is lined with flexible elastic bands, which not only make it easy to remove containers, but also help to keep them from falling out when stacked. However, it is a bit pricey at over $100.

Shorter users will appreciate pull-down models, which allow you to bring your spices down to eye level. The YouCopia Chef's Edition SpiceStack has three drawers, each of which can hold 10 tall or 20 short jars, and it comes with 96 labels, half of which are pre-printed with the names of common seasonings, and the other half are blank so you can write in your own. It comes ready to use with no installation required, and multiple units can be stacked to accommodate large spice collections. The Rubbermaid Pull-Down is a simple and inexpensive option made from epoxy-coated steel. It mounts to a shelf inside your cabinet and can hold 18 jars, but it can be a pain to install.

The Spicy Shelf Deluxe is specifically built to make it easy to see all your spices at once without having to move them around. It comes with legs of two different heights, so you can adjust the shelves to accommodate different bottle sizes, and it can be expanded to fit cabinets of any width between 7-1/2 and 17 inches. The Stow-n-Spin Turntable has a D-shaped design that fits flush against the door of your cabinet, unlike traditional round models, and it can hold up to 24 cans or 50 spice jars. Each tier has a machine-washable nonslip liner, and it has a separate 6-1/4-inch turntable for containers that are too tall to fit on the shelves.
