We liked that this list had options for repair integrated with selections for full-scale countertop refinishing, however, we had to remove the Loctite Quick Set due to numerous complaints regarding its consistency, efficacy, and shelf life. We kept Epox-Sci Instant Install 29 around, as it's a strong option ideal for big cracks and unsightly chips, and would be more suitable for countertop use than Loctite would.
We also said goodbye to the Versakoat 1 Gallon Kit because of availability concerns and the Countertop Epoxy FX Poxy since many users reported it yellowing at an extremely quick rate, sometimes even before the application could be completed. We felt the FGCI Super was a solid replacement, as it's ideally suited for the same types of small projects without the same drawbacks, and it mixes well with pigment and is UV resistant, so it's a great pick for crafts. The MAS Professional is joining the ranks today alongside the likes of the Pro Marine Supplies Crystal Clear and Incredible Solutions Table Top as a strong contender for large surfaces like table and bartops, with the MAS being especially popular for resin river tables.
