Versatility, durability, and aesthetics were some of our main priorities when updating this list. When the Cara's Casa Black Cat became unavailable, we wanted to supplant it with another cast iron unit of similar quality with a stylistic design, and Cara's Casa Housewarming fit the bill admirably. The Aarcho Kitchen Pot Holders also had availability issues, and so we took the opportunity to recommend the Arly Bohemia in their place. This piece is an aesthetically-pleasing one that would fit in well with Moroccan or Mediterranean decor and features ornate, intricate designs that are vibrant and available in a handful of colors.
While we liked the idea of the Fox Run Expandable, the design is a bit underwhelming and leaves much to be desired, and so we brought on the Joseph Joseph Stretch in its stead. This silicone-nylon composite selection is hardy, highly heat resistant, ideal for multiple pots and pans, and simple in design so as not to detract from your kitchen decor. It also folds up into a compact, slim piece that can fit in many silverware trays.
Finally, while we loved the Le Creuset French Caribbean, there wasn't much to differentiate it from the Silicone Designs 6-in-1, which come as a set of four and still manages to cost less than one of the silicone Le Creuset trivets. Le Creuset can call for a higher price point because of the high quality the company is renowned for, which we felt was better served with the Le Creuset Deluxe. This attractive selection is painstakingly made in a single-use mold, inspected at multiple points by the artisans working on it, should last for years and years, and can easily complement other kitchen accessories. Its elevated tripod design is strong enough to support some of the heaviest dishes, including cast iron cookware.
