The 10 Best Cranium Games

Updated November 12, 2019 by Tina Morna Freitas

This wiki has been updated 22 times since it was first published in March of 2018. Created by a pair of erstwhile Microsoft employees in 1998, Cranium has since evolved into one of the most beloved board games. "The Game for Your Whole Brain," and its many expansions and spin-offs, have something to offer for everyone, regardless of age, intelligence, or particular interests. What they all share is the capacity to sharpen players' skills in creativity and recall. When users buy our independently chosen editorial recommendations, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

November 07, 2019:

Of course, the best Cranium game largely depends on the ages of your potential players. But it's possible that before consulting this list you had no idea that the brand offered such a wide variety of styles.

Many of our top choices like Cadoo For Kids and Hullaballoo in a Box reflect some of the brands original games that are beloved by parents for being a great brain stimulation for the ages they are recommended for. Cranium Wow took the top spot for largely reflecting the first game geared towards teens and adults, with some fun updating.

We removed the Glee Edition because the show has been off the air for so long, and replaced it with Cranium Dark. This newer offshoot reflects the increasing popularity of irreverent party games for adults, without the topics that would require you to be tipsy to enjoy playing with family members.
