When you need to tote belongings in style, whether you're headed to work, school, or the gym, one of these men's designer backpacks will help you look your best. They come from some of high fashion's most renowned companies, and are impressive in both form and function. Plus, since these leave your hands free to multitask, they're much better for the busy gentleman than a cumbersome briefcase. The Prada Padded Technical Distinctly masculine with a slightly edgy look, this backpack provides a secure and separate compartment for all of your valuables. It even has two detachable pouches on the straps, keeping essentials at the front where you can see them and grab them quickly. The logo is prominently placed on a large rubber tag on one side for everyone to see, and it features a waist belt that adds another way to stabilize the accessory on the wearer. prada.com

The Gucci Large GG Canvas Featuring a detachable bottle carrier on either side and roomy interior, this backpack was inspired by the hiking lifestyle, but is certainly ready for a high-fashion event with the designer's recognizable GG script logo covering the item. The top features a drawstring opening, protected by a flap with an adjustable buckle closure, keeping the contents safe and concealed. gucci.com

Editor's Notes

October 06, 2019:

Like the world's top designers, every man has his own distinct look and we hope our selection of backpacks appeals to a wide variety of fashion-lovers. For brand-loyalists who want everyone to know exactly who made their backpack, there is the MCM Stark, covered in the designer's iconic print. The Armani Exchange Graphic, with its large A and X initial patchwork and branded shoulder straps, is also a good choice for those wanting to show off their designer love, and it has a bit of personality, too.

When a busy day has you running from errands to the office, you want something that can fit in just about anywhere, like the compact and subtle Coach Crossbody. As a new Coach option, it took the place of the Coach Bleeker, which, while quite functional, wasn't quite up to snuff with the other retro-style options available. On that note, if you have an affinity for all things vintage-looking, there is the Frye Logan and the Fossil Estate, both of which have a slightly antiqued appearance.

We eliminated the Tumi Morrison in favor of the Tumi Alpha 3, which has far more storage than the former and is ready for someone hoping to push a backpack to its limits. It has a water-resistant pocket for perhaps a bathing suit or umbrella, a key leash, and several well-planned organizational compartments.

A wandering writer who spends as much time on the road as in front of a laptop screen, Brett can either be found hacking away furiously at the keyboard or, perhaps, enjoying a whiskey and coke on some exotic beach, sometimes both simultaneously, usually with a four-legged companion by his side. He has been a professional chef, a dog trainer, and a travel correspondent for a well-known Southeast Asian guidebook. He also holds a business degree and has spent more time than he cares to admit in boring office jobs. He has an odd obsession for playing with the latest gadgets and working on motorcycles and old Jeeps. His expertise, honed over years of experience, is in the areas of computers, electronics, travel gear, pet products, and kitchen, office and automotive equipment.
