The 9 Best Dog Crates With Dividers

Updated March 24, 2019 by Brett Dvoretz

This wiki has been updated 27 times since it was first published in April of 2017. Selecting a good crate for a canine companion can be difficult. Size, comfort, security, and ease of use are all factors. Ones that include dividers are particularly handy, letting you section off one area for potty training and another for sleeping, or allowing you to crate two small dogs together. One of these models should provide for whatever you need. When users buy our independently chosen editorial recommendations, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

March 21, 2019:

There are several different uses for dog crates with dividers, so we tried to keep each type of buyer in mind. Some dog owners need a way to keep bonded pairs with separation anxiety apart but still close. The Walcut Cannel Playpen is perfect for that. Its divider will let two attached pups still see each other, while getting some perhaps much-needed alone time. The Simply Plus Deluxe FGGL is another great choice for two-dog households that want the option to sometimes separate their fur babies — say after play gets too rough — and sometimes let them socialize. It expands into two rooms that can be sectioned off, but a middle door can be opened to allow free range between the two. Some pet owners are focusing on potty training and containing the messes that come with that. The MidWest Homes For Pets 224-10, which keeps pups dry by elevating them above the waste pan, is great for that. The Homey Pet Stackable is also great for pups who aren't yet house-trained, with a pan that easily slides out for cleaning, without requiring one to disassemble the entire crate. We also made sure to include models available in sizes large enough for bigger breeds to stand up and move around in, like the Paws & Pals PT-CG-42 and the MidWest Homes For Pets 224-10.
