Editor's Notes

June 11, 2020:

When it comes to Fido's safety, you can never be too careful. While a majority of standard pet ramps are designed for the loading and unloading of a furry friend from most cars, trucks, and SUVs, many aren't necessarily designed to fit a sea- or lake-faring vessel. By contrast, these platforms support both small and large canines for a variety of recreational activities on the water. If Fido likes to swim, for example, they provide him a sturdy surface to come and go as he pleases without a fear of slipping or injuring himself. But before you decide to embark on any aquatic journey with your faithful furry companion, make sure he's equipped with a sturdy life jacket, especially if he'll be diving into water to retrieve downed waterfowl. It's also a good idea to bring along some tasty treats to reward a hunting dog for a job well done.

The Snagle Paw Pet Stairs are easily folded and feature a nonslip rubber coating, giving a pup plenty of traction when climbing in and out of the water. This particular model is also compatible with SUVs and high-bed trucks.

Although the Great Day Load-A-Pup doesn't have an incline, its extra-wide platform and gripping safety ridges give your dog solid footing when he walks on it in wet environments.

The Harbor Mate Aluminum and Extreme Max Undermount aren't specifically marketed for canines, but they're still versatile and sturdy enough to support the loading and unloading of many heavy items, people, and pets when they're used on docks and beaches.

We've also added the Pet Loader H2O XL, which is ideal for any watercraft without a dedicated swimming platform. This structure can also be used at home by attaching it to the pool deck if Rover wants to cool off and take a swim on a warm day.

Finally, both the Beavertail Dog Ladder and WaterDog Adventure Gear LM-6H are designed for hunting purposes, the latter of which offers an open frame that can help reduce potentially dangerous effects of strong water currents that flow around it when a pet returns to your vessel with a catch.
