L.L.Bean Ultrasoft Flannel You can feel free to wash and re-wash the L.L.Bean Ultrasoft Flannel, as the brushed cotton flannel is durable, but becomes softer the more you launder it. And unlike many similar choices, it isn't prone to pilling, although you can expect some lint buildup in your dryer's screen the first few times you dry it. llbean.com
Cuddledown Solid Sateen If you're tired of fighting wrinkles, the Cuddledown Solid Sateen is a strong choice. The 400-thread count cotton has a smooth, wrinkle-resistant finish that will keep you from hours at the ironing board, and there are sheet sets to match, for an entirely soft and comfortable sleeping experience. cuddledown.com

Offered only in a few sizes, this somewhat pricey cover is an eco-friendly option for either hot or cold sleepers. cultiver.com

May 29, 2020:
A duvet cover helps keep your blanket or comforter fresh, and can also be a great way to quickly change the look of your bedroom. In fact, that's the reason we added the VM Vougemarket Vivid. With a range of eye-catching styles to choose from, it will turn your room from drab to fab in a flash. Unfortunately, however, it's not offered in many sizes. The same is true of the Liferevo Plush, a faux fur cover that would work well with everything from Boho chic to throwback 1960s decor. Or, if you're trying to cultivate a farmhouse or rustic vibe, there's the Merryfeel Seersucker. It has a crinkled texture, but only on the top, so the reverse will feel smooth against your skin. The same can't be said of the Sleepbella Set, which is attractively textured but feels rough to some.
For those who are after something more on the plain side, we added the Pizuna Luxury Sateen, for more expansive budgets, and kept the Nestl Microfiber, for those looking to spend less. The fabric used to make the latter is on the thin side, so if you're picky about what touches your skin, it may not be your best bet. It is, however, a great choice for guest beds that won't see a lot of action. The HC Collection is a wallet-friendly choice to consider, as well. Like the aforementioned, it comes in plenty of colors, so it shouldn't be too hard to match to your sheets.
