Editor's Notes

June 16, 2020:

These barriers can certainly come in handy in a work or construction environment when you want to warn people or keep them out of a dangerous area. A lot of the options on our list are lightweight and collapse down to a relatively small size so you can store them or take them with you to a work site. We have also included some options you can employ in your neighborhood to keep your children safe from cars passing through.

The Retractable Cone Bar, the US Weight Retractable Belt, and the Crowd Control Center Security Chain are all minimal options that are inexpensive, but still get the point across. These selections all can be used to cordon off areas with the least amount of material, but they can also easily be stepped over or gone under if necessary.

The Cartman Collapsible Traffic Cones and the Kid Kusion Driveway Guard are great for increasing your child's safety when their playing with their hopper balls in the driveway or the neighborhood. The former can also be used to light up your car in case of a roadside emergency where you might have to use a scissor jack, as this choice comes with LED lights.

The Tenax Safety Fence is great option for construction workers because it can easily be attached to fence stakes and comes in bright, fluorescent colors that visibly warn people of the restricted area.

We have also included the Essentially Yours Foldable Safety Barricade and the Amazon Commercial Mobile Barricade which are perfect solutions for stopping pedestrians from entering a bathroom out-of-order or letting them know a spill has taken place in the area.

With all these signs it is important to note that OSHA has specific guidelines that warning signs must meet in order to be used in OSHA-compliant spaces. If you are looking for something that falls under this category, make sure to check its compliance, and visit the OSHA website for more information regarding safety standards and protocols.
