Freedivers know you need durable gear to provide a safe and comfortable exploration down under. You need a snorkel mask, wetsuit, and of course good diving fins. You'll want to make sure you get a properly fitted option since some models tend to run large or small. It's recommended to get fin socks or dive boots to prevent blisters and make your slightly larger foot pockets fit snuggly if you have narrower feet.
If you're a beginner, the Cressi Pro Light is a good choice as it provides the lightweight build needed to get you under the water without wearing out your calve muscles. It's less expensive than other models, which makes it a great first fin for those getting into the sport.
For more experienced freedivers, the Scuba Pro Seawing Nova and Apeks RK3 are great options because of their quality construction. They are both quite expensive, costing more than $160, but is worth the price for a durable option that will last for years.
