This wiki has been updated 25 times since it was first published in January of 2017. Although it is not most people's favorite activity, you might as well make this chore as smooth, quick and easy as possible by getting one of these covers for your ironing board. In addition to preventing damage to both board and clothing, and letting your iron glide efficiently, they come in an array of styles and designs that let you add a little personal flair to the process. When users buy our independently chosen editorial recommendations, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

August 05, 2019:

There are many fun decorative ironing board covers to choose from, but if your priority is simply functionality, then the plainer boards with silicone coatings tend to offer the best reflective quality for cutting down your ironing time. The Gorilla Grip Reflective took the top spot for these features, plus it's extra-thick padding and because the deep nose pocket and Velcro straps really keep it in place.

For those who don't iron often or just really want their ironing board to add the mood of the laundry room, the Ezy Iron Premium also has impressive padding and a reflective quality, but not the scorch-resistant silicone coating.

We also included thinner but stylish options like the Encasa Homes Replacement and the Whitmor Deluxe because many people will simply put their new cover over an existing one to increase the overall thickness, so some users might value the appearance over the amount of padding.
