Baker's Edge Simple Lasagna Pan The Simple Lasagna Pan by Baker's Edge is configured to only bake edge pieces, using sidewalls to keep layers neatly stacked regardless of how many servings are removed, a problem conventional pans usually have to contend with. It's sized to fit standard box noodles, made of hard-anodized cast aluminum, and uses a silicone-based nonstick coating to release food easily. Editor's Notes
July 26, 2019:
We made a handful of tweaks for our latest update, including removing the Stoneware Rectangular by Rachel Ray due to complaints of it cracking down the middle during normal use. We used the vacancy as an opportunity to recommend the OXO Good Grips Pro Deep Dish, an excellent choice for five and seven-layer meals.
And while we still like the Cook Pro 4-Piece All-in-1 and feel they were a good value, reports of pitting led us to scrap them in favor of the Emile Henry Modern Classics, a French-made selection of outstanding quality that's available in a handful of garden-inspired colors to suit a host of decor schemes.
Because our list previously had only nine items, we filled the empty spot with the Le Creuset Signature, which we placed at number one. Le Creuset pieces are known for their impressive quality and careful construction. They're made to last a lifetime, which helps offset the sting of their high price tags.
All of our selections are hardwearing, but it's important for owners to take proper care of them to extend their lifespans. Using the proper serving spatula, washing method, and not subjecting pans to thermal shock if they aren't constructed to withstand it are all common causes of degradation.
Because we know having a dedicated pan for lasagna is great, but not always practical, we ensured this list had options that could withstand braising, roasting, searing, baking, and slow-cooking, as well as function as serving vessels and storage in the fridge for leftovers.
