Editor's Notes

April 28, 2020:

Even if you're not looking to be on-trend with the minimalist movement, slim wallets are functional, stylistically appealing, and more practical than your typical wallet if you're looking to streamline things. When ranking this list we prioritized aesthetic appeal and elegance, functionality, durability, hardwearing and high quality materials, innovative and convenient designs, and generous warranties.

Today we said goodbye to the Dash Co. Premium, which is a fine choice, but for the price, it had too many durability issues to keep around. We added the Buffway Leather instead, a model that offers better storage, is a bit more sophisticated, and comes in a wide range of colors to suit men and women with varying preferences. We felt it was important to balance this list out with a few additional unisex-friendly designs, which is why we also brought on the Herschel Charlie when the Herschel 10048 became unavailable. And while The Ridge Navy, an extremely hardwearing selection we added to make up for the discontinued Urban Tribe Secure, seems overtly masculine, it's offered in a lovely rose gold hue that shows the design lends itself well to either gender.

We wanted to keep the number of leather options on par with vegan selections, and so we added the SlimFold Micro to take the place of the Huskk Microfiber. The Slimfold model is like the Huskk unit on steroids — it's extremely durable, has plenty of storage, and is crafted from a material that repels water, doesn't scratch, and recovers after it stretches, so you know it's with you for the long haul. It has myriad thoughtful features, like an ID window that is stitched on and made from clear mylar instead of the typical vinyl, which annoyingly sticks to IDs when you try to pull them out.
