The 10 Best Office Partition Panels

Updated August 01, 2020 by Brendon Hannaford

This wiki has been updated 18 times since it was first published in May of 2020. Cubicle partition walls are a mainstay in offices because of their ability to transform an empty room into an array of private workspaces. In addition to permanent dividers we've included portable panels on stands or wheels, which are ideal for when you want a little extra privacy at your desk, and some simple folding screens for home offices and other less formal working environments. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

July 28, 2020:

If you're looking to add some extra privacy to an existing office environment it's important to get something that won't detract from the professional atmosphere of the workspace. For this case your best options will be true cubicle systems such as the HON Verse Panel, or minimalist models like the the Roman Products Divider, Versare VP6, and Steelaid Office Partition.

On the other hand, if you're looking to partition a more informal workspace or even a home office you might be better off with basic folding screens such as the RHF Privacy Shelf, Oriental Furniture Van Gogh Divider, or MyGift 4-Panel Chalkboard. These options are generally much cheaper than professional-grade models, require virtually no setup, and can even serve to complement or improve the style of your existing workspace. Though they are fun and easy to use it's also true that they also need to be unfolded and balanced properly in order to have any sort of stability, which is something you usually don't have to worry about with more robust choices that have metal stands or mount directly to a wall or ceiling with hardware.

Another solution worth considering for either type of space is a retractable model, like the RYB Home Divider Curtain, GoDear Design Deluxe, and Songmics Retractable. These offer the durability of a permanent installation, but also some of the flexibility of portable choice. For instance, they make it easy to block your desk off from a bustling workspace when you want to focus in on a specific project, but allow you to easily collapse it when you're trying to collaborate with other colleagues.

Regardless of which selection you end up choosing, you may want to take a look at our articles on other products that might help boost productivity in your office such as standing desk converters, ergonomic chairs, and noise canceling headphones.
