The 10 Best Plastic Cups

Updated July 13, 2020 by Allean Phelps

This wiki has been updated 15 times since it was first published in May of 2020. Plastic cups come in a wide range of sizes, shapes, and colors to accommodate a variety of needs, from single-use disposables for a on-off event to shatter-resistant tumblers that are ideal for around the pool all summer long. Some can go in the dishwasher for easy cleanup and reuse, while others are stylish enough to offer unusual uses, such as for serving desserts like sorbets and parfaits. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

July 08, 2020:

The plastic cups on this list may vary in composition, but they are all safe for drinking. Options like Member's Mark and Repurpose Compostables are free of Bisphenol A (BPA), which can have adverse effects on the nervous system.

If convenience is your main priority, any of the single-use brands like Stack Man Disposables, Hefty Assorted Disposables, and Solo Squared Tumblers are a practical choice. However, they may warp if placed in a microwave. If you prefer brands that you can use more than once, the Member's Mark and US Acrylic Newport are great options. Just don't fill Member's Mark with alcoholic beverages as the alcohol content can eat away at the plastic.

For those who prefer a sustainable option, Repurpose Compostables are made entirely of plant-based material. They are BPI certified and BPA free.
