Updated March 26, 2019 by Joseph Perry

This wiki has been updated 25 times since it was first published in March of 2017. You've seen how rough adults at the gym can be on the equipment. Multiply that by a hundred and you have some idea of the wear and tear children can subject their toys to. You need quality playground balls to keep kids entertained and to encourage physical activity, which is why we found long-lasting sets that have a good bounce and come in colors youngsters will appreciate. When users buy our independently chosen editorial recommendations, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

March 23, 2019:

These are just as vital a piece of playground equipment as is the big toy and basketball hoops. Kids love the bounce, the texture, and the softness of a good ball so we made our selections with these characteristics in mind. We were especially pleased to find the Franklin Sports variety, which claim to be the ones you remember and love. We also removed a few models due to concerns about their availability.

An avid reader and outdoors enthusiast, Joe earned his doctorate in literary studies before making the lateral leap from academia to technical writing. He now lives and works in the inter-mountain West where he creates technical and marketing content, including white papers, solution briefs, and courseware for some of the world’s largest information technology companies. With more than 14 years of experience in the field, he has learned more than he ever thought he would know about such enterprise IT topics as cloud computing, storage, databases, business software, and networking. When he’s not writing about business computing, he can be found outdoors, probably hiking with his family and dog.
