The 10 Best Portable Bidets
Editor's Notes
October 29, 2020:
A truly portable bidet is one that can store water in a reservoir so that you can take it with you wherever you go– even if you’re hiking or camping hundreds of miles from the nearest clean water source. With this in mind, we decided to remove the Aqua Nexis Premium, the Luxe Neo 120, and the SmarterFresh Hot and Cold, because while they’re great choices for use in the home, they have hoses that need to be attached to a water source in order to work and thus are not really portable.
Fortunately, we’ve been able to replace those items with three great options. The Uyicoo Shattaf is particularly easy to travel with, as it’s a standalone top that can connect to the majority of plastic bottles currently manufactured around the world. Those who prioritize reservoir capacity should try out the Zitrads Peri, which can hold half a liter and comes with two differently-shaped nozzles that make it especially versatile. Finally, the HappyPo Easy is a popular choice that can deliver a high-volume stream of water and thus an especially deep clean.

In this update we removed the Hygienna Solo due to availability concerns. We added the impressively affordable GenieBidet Go, which boasts a telescoping nozzle that stores easily inside the bottle, which in turn stores compactly inside a discreet travel bag. Unlike some other models, it does not leak unless inverted, so as long as you keep the bottle upright you don't have to empty it after each use.

Due to the recent unavailability of the Joy C-1, Home Comfort Essentials, and SmarterFresh Combination, we took the opportunity to refer to superior replacements. The CuloClean Discreet is another ultra-portable option for those who frequently camp and hike, as well as small and inconspicuous enough for use at the office. (Just try to find a plastic water bottle that doesn't crackle too loudly when squeezed). We felt the Tonelife Handheld was similar enough to fill the void left by the Home Comfort Essentials, but with an updated design that makes it even more convenient.
Sadly, the Palm Travel TP200 was reported to fall short of user pressure expectations enough that we supplanted it with the Gustyle Second Generation, which sports a well thought out design and features like automatic shutoff. Unfortunately, it's not rechargeable like the Palm Travel was, but as the power source was likely the culprit for its less-than-stellar flow, this might be a blessing in disguise.
SmarterFresh Hot and Cold commands the top spot because it's one of the few portable hoses that attaches to a hot or cold water source, which means no chilly spray unless you want it. While you can fill the majority of our handheld bottles with warm water if you have it, portable attachments usually don't supply this luxury. It also helps that it's extremely durably made, attractive, and very easy to install quickly. It can even be mounted right on the toilet tank.
The Luxe Neo 120 is still a great choice because it's built well and priced just right. It's portable in that you can take it with you from home to home (rather than throw it in a bag for vacation), and so it represents a nice balance between fully integrated toilet seat models and the items on this list.
