This wiki has been updated 14 times since it was first published in February of 2018. Not everyone has the room for a built-in dishwasher in their home. If you can't fit a standard model in your kitchen, one of these portable options can save you from hours of back-breaking labor at the sink. They are easy to set up, sit on or under your counter, and some are even on wheels, so you can move them out of the way easily when the chores are done. When users buy our independently chosen editorial selections, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Skip to the best portable dishwasher on Amazon.

GE Convertible GSC3500DWW The GSC3500DWW is the same size as traditional built-in models, yet is equipped with four casters that allow you to move it out of the way when not needed. It is loaded with other features too, like a two-stage filtration system, Piranha hard food disposer, and a dedicated pots and pans cycle. Editor's Notes

October 11, 2019:

Washing dishes might just be the least fun part of any meal. Thankfully, even if you have a small home that can't fit a traditional built-in dishwasher, one of these portable models can still take care of the job for you, allowing you to sit back and catch up on your favorite shows instead.

During this year's update we removed or replaced four models that made our list last time: the Danby DDW1801MWP, EdgeStar DWP61ES, Koldfront PDW60EB, and Danby DDW611WLED. While we still think the Danby DDW1801MWP is a great model, it has unfortunately been discontinued by the manufacturer. The EdgeStar DWP61ES and Danby DDW611WLED were both replaced by updated models, and the Koldfront PDW60EB has received too many complaints of unreliability.

For those who truly plan on moving their dishwasher around often, we recommend the SPT SD-9241SS, since it has wheels that make it a breeze to move. It is also a good choice for somebody who needs a larger capacity, as its dual-layer design should allow you to load it up with a bit more stuff than many others.

When it comes to looks, we feel few models can match the Black + Decker BCD6W, so if you want something that won't look out of place among a variety of other premium appliances, this is a smart option. We also feel most people may appreciate models with a digital display that keeps you abreast of the remaining time, like the EdgeStar DWP62SV and SPT SD-2224DS.
