Editor's Notes
June 16, 2020:
Removed several items from the list — including the Then and Now Set, Samurai Sword Water, and Legacy Mighty Morphin 5-Inch — after discovering higher quality options available. There is a new version of the Ptera Megazord out, but it did not merit a spot in these rankings.
Updated the listing for the Ninja Steel 12-Inch Blue to the latest available version, pointing out that it offers dependable durability, even if it’s lacking a bit in flexibility. The Pink Ranger Legacy is a solid action figure from the original iteration of the series, and the Legacy Ninja Megazord will draw attention from fans who love Zords from the early seasons.
Added five new items to the list, including two Rangers (one black, one white), two Zords (a megazord and an ultrazord), and a villain. The Black Ranger is from the Dino Thunder line, and it’s also available in other colors, which will allow you to collect multiple figures from the set if you wish to pick them all up at the same time.
The Movie Megazord and Morphers Beast-X are both well-built, highly entertaining toys that generate lights and sounds, though the mini ranger figures that come with the Megazord are pretty flimsy, and some parents complain the the Beast-X is too loud (with no adjustable volume).
