September 11, 2020:

For this update we decided to include the Maitre'D Copper sauce serving set even though it doesn't feature the brand's signature non-stick surface. The mini pots and slate serving board make the Maitre'D a unique addition to their offerings, especially as cooks increasingly value the appearance of their pots and pans as much as their performance.

When it comes to performance, all the Scanpan lines outside of the Maitre'D offer their patented Stratanium non-stick surface that is PFOA-free, and safe for use with metal utensils.

Where the lines differ is mostly in their exterior finishings, the handles and the lids. The CTX 5-Ply and the Hapt IQ Commercial offer the most significant difference in cooking quality and appearance, as the exterior layer of stainless steel is not just decorative, but also serves to improve the heat distribution.
