Gee Beauty The Noir The Gee Beauty The Noir is made of a special fabric that breathes to eliminate humidity, and stretches to accommodate most hairstyles and types. It has an elegant turban silhouette and a rubber grip along the band to help it stay in place. The cap is washable, but shouldn't require too frequent cleaning thanks to its antibacterial coating. geebeauty.com

Briogeo Front Bow Shower Cap The Briogeo Front Bow Shower Cap has a reversible design with a fun print showing women bathing on its waterproof side, and a solid pink interior that is made of a satin-like material to be gentle on hair on the other. It's large enough for thick curls and most hair types, and has a stylish bow on the front. briogeohair.com

Editor's Notes

May 29, 2020:

Though almost everyone has times they want to hop in the shower without wetting their locks, not everybody's hair or beauty routine is identical, so we rounded up shower caps that can be helpful to users with diverse hair and needs.

Fitting all of one's tresses inside a shower cap can often be a struggle, so we appreciate the roomy designs of the Donna Premium Collection Super Jumbo and the Simply Elegant Satin Dream XL. The Klorane Terrycloth Lined is quite small, causing some discomfort, and it takes too long to dry, making it unsuitable for daily use, so was removed from the list.

Keeping hair dry is usually the top priority with these types of accessories, and on that note, the Goody Styling Essentials lost their spot as they have too loose of a fit and let a lot of water in. Instead, Glow By Daye Reusable snagged a spot because of its adjustable strap, which helps secure it and keep droplets out.

We know that some need caps they can sleep in, whether it's to lengthen the life of a blowout or maintain a style, so we like the Dilly's Collections Premium Babushka, with its soft microfiber lining that minimizes tangles. The Betty Dain Socialite is another good choice for protecting updos and the like, thanks to its reversible design.

Some users spend a lot of time in their shower cap, and for that reason, they want it to be as cute as it is functional. The Kitsch Luxury Blush, with its polka dots and bow, fit that bill, as did the Honest Good Top Socialite Salon Grade. The Blush gets extra points because it's easy to rinse clean, making it good for deep conditioner or oil treatments.
