Editor's Notes

April 01, 2019:

The DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ sticks out a bit on this list due to its hefty price tag, but we felt it was worth inclusion, as not everyone is shopping for a model exclusively for personal use. Don't buy it unless you're committed to pouring money into it, though, because it can still run up some large bills even after you've gotten past the initial purchase price.

The Potensic FPV is at the other end of the budget spectrum. Don't expect performance that will rival that of the Phanton 2 Vision+, but don't be surprised if the difference isn't as stark as you might think, either.

The selections in our top three spots are all very closely grouped, so you can't go wrong with any of them. We put the DBPower U818G above the other two largely due to price, as it's a good all-around model that still manages to be on the cheaper end of the market.
