Editor's Notes

September 10, 2019:

Reusable drinking straws are an eco-friendly alternative to disposable ones, which each get around 20 minutes of use, on average, before being taken to a landfill. When seeking out reusable options, many people opt for ones that are made of stainless steel, since they’re highly durable and easy to care for, ensuring years of use.

In this update, we are adding a set with a convenient telescoping design. The Doboli 2 Pack come with a black carrying case and a second one in your choice of 12 iridescent colors. Each features a handy key ring so you can attach them to your purse or backpack. They’re great for taking on picnics, camping trips, or visits to theme parks (many of which no longer carry disposable straws). You’ll get two cleaning brushes that conveniently can be stored inside of the straws.

For a non-extending design that come in either a straight build or one that’s curved at the neck, look to the Eco At Heart, which are wide enough to accommodate thick drinks like milkshakes, slushies, and smoothies. For a similar choice, but thinner, check out the Accmor Reusable, which are built with quarter-inch diameters.

Leaving the list in this update to make way for the telescoping set are the Yihong Ultra Long Straws. On a safety-related note, young children should always be supervised by a parent when they’re using stainless steel straws or any other metal utensil.
