August 20, 2020:
Modern designs of furniture cover a wide range of styles and are increasingly using new and exciting materials, however, they often come with a hefty price tag. For the adventurous out there, though, with some basic DIY knowledge and a touch of imagination, you can create your own unique pieces for a fraction of the cost. In this ranking, we selected a range of table legs that allow you to replace broken or worn-out ones on your existing furniture, or can be paired with the top of your choice to create your own coffee tables, end tables, bedside tables, and even dining tables.
Those looking to create a modern, contemporary look may consider the DHP Bentwood or the Smartstand Hairpin. Both have similar styling, are tall enough to use on a dining room table, and are finished in chrome and black respectively. Equally modern are the MBQQ Decory Square, which use square steel tubing with a powder-coated finish. The Pipe Decor Industrial are made from lengths of steel water pipe with cast-iron flanges as feet giving a unique look reticent of the steampunk movement. At the other end of the scale are the Design 59 Farmhouse, which have a traditional, turned wood style, and are notable due to their large chunky size, and high weight-bearing capacity.
If you want to make low-level furniture, such as a coffee table, then the shorter legs we ranked are the Jerever Modern Clear, which are made from acrylic with metal feet, and the QLLY Adjustable, which have plenty of height adjustment for uneven floors. Those looking for a semi-permanent option may want to consider the Grotta Hairpin & Pipe, which utilizes a hand tightening bracket to clamp on to tabletops of up to two inches thick. The versatile Creative Play Wishbone are a set of folding legs that can be installed on either a round or rectangular top, and are a good choice for an extra table when entertaining guests.
