The 8 Best Utility Tubs

Updated July 31, 2019 by Joseph Perry

This wiki has been updated 23 times since it was first published in February of 2017. People often think of a utility tub as a staple of the laundry room, but its usefulness can extend to mudrooms, garages, basements, and even bathrooms. They are big and deep enough to simplify the task of soaking or hand washing almost any item, such as clothing, tools, a small pet -- or even a muddy child. We’ve put together a list of your best options. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. If you'd like to contribute your own research to Ezvid Wiki, please get started by reviewing this introductory video.

Editor's Notes

July 23, 2019:

After you install one of these utility tubs and use it for a while, you'll wonder how you ever got along without one. They are definitely a worthwhile investment because they make it so easy to soak or wash large items or large batches of small items. Most come with a faucet and all hardware you need to install it, but a couple of our selections leave the faucet off so you can choose your own. They are made of tough polyurethane or other durable plastic so they won't easily scratch or stain.

In this update we evaluated items based on quality, value, and their reputation among users. Removed an item due to concerns about its availability and added the Maya Laundry Sink as a top choice. We like its generous capacity and its stainless-steel, pull-down faucet that should make any washing task easier.
