The 8 Best Ankle Sleeves

Updated September 23, 2019 by Tina Morna Freitas

This wiki has been updated 17 times since it was first published in August of 2019. A well-fitting ankle sleeve can help speed up recovery from an injury or prevent one in the first place. Their compression can't take the place of a brace, but can reduce aches and pains while you get your fitness back. Some are helpful for other conditions, like plantar fasciitis, too. Always have your doctor evaluate any pain to rule out anything serious before resorting to self care. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. Editor's Notes

September 06, 2019:

A popular trend in sports medicine is currently braces infused with copper. While there are no studies that prove copper-infused sleeves relieve aches and pains more than those without, the antimicrobial properties of the copper can keep them cleaner and fresher smelling. We included the Treat My Feet Copper and the Copper Compression Recovery because they are both well-designed sleeves that are effective regardless of the copper's contribution, plus there isn't a big price difference, for those who'd like to try it.

We decided not to include any sleeves that had a cut-out heel because there is too much potential for the cut-out section to irritate the Achilles and cause blisters. Many users find them uncomfortable.
