Whether you're using a pair of closed or open back headphones, I stand by the same values and sentiments I proposed last year with regard to the usefulness of a headphone stand, regardless of whether it's used by an audiophile, gamer, or music producer.
The Just Mobile Avant and Dodocool Gaming models have been removed due to availability issues.
Newly added this year are the Razer Base Station Chroma and Tilted Nation TNShadow, the former of which offers a detachable design for travel and lighting effects that react to both Windows and in-game alerts, while the latter can be used as an all-in-one stand, USB hub, and mouse bungee.
The Mefe Holder has been replaced with the KDrive Organizer, which has many of the same benefits along with integrated overload protection.

Having a reliable pair of headphones is extremely important, especially if you're a hardcore gamer, music producer, or simply an audiophile with an appreciation for total immersion in your music without distracting those around you. That said, it doesn't make a lot of sense to invest in an expensive headset without a stand to support and protect it from falling off your desk. Despite its perceived simplicity, a headphone stand can quickly become greater than the some of its parts, meaning it doesn't have to be boring or restricted to a single purpose. In fact, many of our options can be used as connection hubs for charging your mobile devices, while others will help to inspire your "inner gamer" through the use of simulated surround sound and spiffy color-changing LEDs.
The Corsair Premium, Dodocool, and Enhance Universal models, for example, all appeal to the entertainment lover and hardcore gamer. The Corsair model boasts customizable RGB lighting that is displayed across nine different zones along its base.
