The Heelys Dual Up X2 and the Heelys GR8R Hi Tennis are no longer available, and the Heelys Hustle is down to a handful of small sizes. We also cut the Ehauuo Unisex, the Ufatansy Skate and the Ylllu Unisex Sneakers. Cheap light-up roller shoes like these come and go under many names, and the ones still selling draw steady reports of dead lights and wheels that won't stay put.
The Heelys Propel 2.0 and the Heelys Force stay, and the Nsasy Roller Shoes stay as the one light-up option, with their weak spots spelled out.
New are the Heelys Kolect X2, the two-wheel shoe we'd hand a nervous first-timer, the comfortable Heelys Rezerve Low, the Heelys Voyager and the strap-on Heelys Pop Pro for kids who don't tie laces yet.

As with any wheeled item though, it is important that you take proper safety precautions, which includes making sure your kids are wearing helmets and protective knee and elbow pads. Also, doctors recommend children don't walk in them with the wheels deployed for long periods of time, as this could potentially negatively affect their gait.
Generally, if you want your child to really love their new pair of wheelie shoes, you should do your best to get them a style that appeals to their personal taste. The tradeoff is weight: the two-wheel shoes it weighed were the heaviest in its group.
A single wheel is lighter and lower, and it's what most older children and returning riders choose. Some two-wheel Heelys let you take one wheel out later, so a shoe can grow with a child's skill.
Light-up roller shoes from smaller sellers usually pair two wheels with an LED sole and a button that pulls the rear wheel up into the heel.
