Wooden bowls and utensils require a bit more attention than steel and ceramic, but if properly cared for, they can last for years. Since wood is porous, it's important to never let it soak in water and to dry it immediately after washing. To prevent cracking or splitting and keep it looking great, give your bowl a light coat of mineral oil anytime it starts to look or feel dry.
