Editor's Notes
August 19, 2019:
Removed several models with availability issues. Added the Mitutoyo 500-197-30 and the Brown & Sharpe 590093. The Mitutoyo calipers are very well-made and the price is very reasonable if you expect your measurements to be accurate and consistent. The jaws snap nicely together and the wheel feels controlled and nimble. The grinds between the rail and the top are accurate and fine as evidenced by the smooth sliding action. The Brown & Sharpe are also very nice calipers for the price which warrants inclusion on the list.
