Updated November 11, 2019 by Christopher Thomas

This wiki has been updated 17 times since it was first published in October of 2019. Those with green thumbs know that the art of growing plants requires patience, hard work and attention to detail. They may not be aware, however, that one of these planter caddies could make their lives a lot easier. With these wheeled platforms, you'll be able to freely roll your favorite flowers, herbs and trees to a sunnier, more shaded or warmer area as and when required. When users buy our independently chosen editorial choices, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki. White Flower Farm Round This simple caddy from White Flower Farm looks subtly graceful, supported by small wheels that are built into the bottom of the stand so that they’re barely perceptible. It’s made from sustainably harvested beech wood, and it’s available in a light or a dark finish. whiteflowerfarm.com

Wagner Maxi Grip You wouldn’t know by looking at them, but all these caddies can accommodate planters weighing up to 440 pounds, and one of them can even support a whopping 660 pounds. The smooth casters won’t scratch indoor floors, and their water-repellant finish makes them great for outdoor use, too. wagnerplantcaddiesusa.com

Editor's Notes

October 29, 2019:

While putting together this list, we tried to incorporate different styles and materials to address a variety of preferences and applications. We included both round and square options as well as one with outstretched arms; some with lips on the edges and others with smooth surfaces; a combination of models with and without drainage slats; and a mixture of plastic, wooden and metal choices.

The Amagabeli Coaster is the only item on the list made with welded metal wiring, and we’ve noted that its powder-coated finish lends it durability and helps prevent it from rusting. Users like its stylish appearance and the ease with which it rolls around.

The design of the Bosmere Down Under is interesting; it almost resembles a star, with six separate support arms jutting out in different directions. It can hold up to 500 pounds, and the 20-inch width of its platform allows it to accommodate cumbersome planters.
