Since the initial publication of this wiki in February of 2019, we've made 3 edits to this page. All kids remember their first electric car, as it meant more freedom and, perhaps, moving on from stuffed animals and coloring books. Not to mention becoming the most envied kid on the block. Of course, it is important to always supervise your children while using these, and keep them away from traffic, swimming pools, and other possible hazards. When users buy our independently chosen editorial picks, we may earn commissions to support our work. Skip to the best electric car for kids on Amazon.

Editor's Notes

February 11, 2019:

Even from a young age, kids can develop preferences in car styles. We included the Peg Perego John Deere Gator for the kiddo looking for something rugged. We added the Moderno Kids SLS AMG Mercedes Benz for a child who likes to show off his luxury toys. We put the Uenjoy 12V Racer for little ones who like to watch the race track for hours. And, naturally, we did want a model for kids who still like to act like kids, so we have the Power Wheels Frozen Jeep Wrangler.

A wandering writer who spends as much time on the road as in front of a laptop screen, Brett can either be found hacking away furiously at the keyboard or, perhaps, enjoying a whiskey and coke on some exotic beach, sometimes both simultaneously, usually with a four-legged companion by his side. He has been a professional chef, a dog trainer, and a travel correspondent for a well-known Southeast Asian guidebook. He also holds a business degree and has spent more time than he cares to admit in boring office jobs. He has an odd obsession for playing with the latest gadgets and working on motorcycles and old Jeeps. His expertise, honed over years of experience, is in the areas of computers, electronics, travel gear, pet products, and kitchen, office and automotive equipment.
