With these convenient kits, children can apply the technique to practically anything they wear. This list only focuses on nontoxic sets, so your kids can enjoy the activity without worrying about skin irritations and inhaling toxic fumes. Editor's Notes

August 20, 2020:

Except for the SEI Classic, the tie-dying kits on this list include at least a few pairs of gloves. However, the gloves are more suited for adults. So you may need to come up with creative ways to keep them on your little ones' hands. The Sntieecr DIY Assortment is the only kit we found that has gloves for small hands. Just keep in mind, no dye comes with this kit.

It doesn't matter if you're purchasing a tie-dye kit for young kids, tweens, or teenagers, you want to be safe. Although these sets are non-toxic, we still recommend at least a minimum supervision. To be clear, some of these kits have small caps, strings, plastic, and rubber bands. Therefore, you should check the age recommendation and keep the pieces away from small children. Some kits like the Doodlehog Party Set comes with a bag of soda ash to aid the process. Soda ash is not harmful when used as intended. But if the powder escapes the package before mixing, it can irritate the eyes, nose, and throat. Also, adults should be aware that there is a needle inside the Sntieecr DIY Assortment. If you don't plan to use it to make designs for your child, make sure to put it up out of the way.
