The 5 Best Photographic Lighting Stands
This wiki has been updated 24 times since it was first published in February of 2019. When it comes to investing in photography equipment, it's not just the camera itself that will cost you a pretty penny. When it's time to purchase some high quality lights, you'll also need to choose sturdy, reliable stands to help project that light toward your subject at the right angle, while protecting your expensive accessories from falling over.

Editor's Notes
March 14, 2019:
While there isn't a lot of variety in this category of equipment, we looked for the most durable options to keep expensive equipment stable. The Fovitic Kit took the top spot for including sand bags that are all but required when using any stand at it's highest setting, plus the heavy duty knobs are easy to turn. We also included the Amazon Basics model even though they won't last as long, for hobbyists who don't want to spend a lot, or someone who just wants to mount a lightweight reflector or umbrella.
