Hansa Toys If you're looking for something significantly more realistic, Hansa most certainly has you covered. They have just about every type of bear you could imagine, including baby pandas, adolescent koalas, and even full-size mama grizzlies. Unlike common giant teddy bears, however, these tend to be quite expensive, with some costing over $1,000. hansatoystore.com

Budsies Custom Stuffed Animals When you want a gift that's a departure from a common teddy bear -- or really any common stuffed animal -- consider Budsies, which lets you and your loved ones design your own plush toys using your own original art. They take your source and turn it into a soft, three-dimensional friend in almost any size, making them ideal for creating a memory that's both personal and unique. budsies.com

Editor's Notes

April 02, 2020:

They're cute, they're cuddly, and they're huge! Gigantic teddy bears are a fun and thoughtful gift for people who love stuffed animals, and there are quite a few to choose from. The Melissa & Doug 2138 isn't absolutely massive like some, so it's good choice if you don't have a ton of space. Actually, that same toy company makes a point to focus on the educational and emotional well-being of kids, so it's no surprise that they also make a relatively realistic model in the Melissa & Doug Grizzly. It's not quite the same as the rest in that it isn't flexible, but it's still quite soft and huggable. Another couple interesting options are the Joon YAT and Joon Jumbo, which are tan and dark brown, respectively, and have welcoming smiles and cute printed foot pads. The Giant Teddy Lady Cuddles might be one of the most fun, and it's also available in bright blue.

The Luvous Panda is an excellent choice for fans of the more laid-back, vegetarian bear, and the Joyfay Giant is about as big as they come. Incidentally, its size also means that it's not quite as easy for young children to move around, which may or may not be a bad thing. If you want to add a personal touch, consider the Big Plush Premium or Big Plush Personalized, which both come with a message of your choice to the recipient. And at the end of the day, it's hard to argue against the quality of the Vermont Teddy Bear Giant. Vermont Teddy Bear is relatively famous for a teddy bear manufacturer, and like a couple of our selections, their USA-made bears are sure to delight. Of course, there's no shortage of stuffed animals and other cuddly accessories if you're shopping for a young child and don't have space for one of these huge friends.
