Paranormal romance is a subgenre that's perfect for people who just want to escape reality. Not only do these stories almost always guarantee a happy ending, but the presence of magic and supernatural creatures adds a lot of action and suspense that's bound to keep readers glued to their seats. With that said, we've compiled a list of ten captivating paranormal romance series. Take note that this list is done in no particular order.

First up, at #1, we have "The Soul Summoner" by Elicia Hyder. It mainly revolves around Sloan Jordan, a girl with a very mysterious past. She has the power to see people's souls and determine whether they're good or bad, and by looking at someone's picture, she can tell if that person is dead or alive. Her life takes a drastic turn when she meets a strange man who appears to be soulless, and throughout the series, she gets thrust into increasingly dangerous situations as she gets involved in a war between angels and demons.

Together, they work towards hunting down a serial killer, who turns out to be a fallen angel. When Alex finally realizes what's going on, she finds herself becoming an important figure in the war between heaven and hell, and the fate of humanity lies in her hands.
