The 9 Best Construction Calculators
This wiki has been updated 15 times since it was first published in November of 2018. Many people are surprised how math-intensive construction is when they first enter the industry. While you may be able to handle a lot of these computations yourself with a regular calculator, you'll probably find that you waste a lot of time and wind up with more than a few errors. These purpose-built models are specifically designed to solve common building-related equations. When users buy our independently chosen editorial selections, we may earn commissions to help fund the Wiki.

Without much movement in the category since we last visited it, it was a fairly uneventful round of updates. The only real substantive changes we made were removing the Jobber 6 and Scale Master CMP EZ Bundle – both due to availability issues – and adding the 5070 ElectriCalc Pro to our list — a specialty model for electricians that impressed us with its ability to be updated every three years, in order to ensure that its conforming to the latest version of the National Electrical Code.
Note that, because this page is presently comprised strictly of models from Calculated Industries – an extremely dominant brand in this category, with a wide range of offerings – we went against our normal protocol and simply identified our picks based on their model number and designation, in order to avoid sounding like a broken record.
