While we have looked for frames that should allow an adequate amount of your plate to be visible, keep in mind that laws vary by state — so you’ll want to make sure that the frame you choose meets your local regulations. But to make your search easier, we ultimately decided to remove the Black Metal Shark Teeth and Animal Paws models, because they were simply too obstructive. We also removed the Unbreakable Tint License Plate Shields, since most states forbid full covers of any kind.
For those who seek simplicity, we like the Rightcar Solutions Silicone or the Ohuhu Stainless Steel. These won’t draw a lot of attention but will still provide a sleek appearance. Those who want to turn heads might look at the Airstrike Retro Flower or Custom Frames Chrome Chameleon, both colorful, bright, and cheerful. The latter, however, is not the best for wet, dirty environments; to extend its life, you might wipe it down with a good car drying towel if it's exposed to salt and sludge.
