Editor's Notes

September 11, 2019:

While the basic idea behind Zumba is the same in each of these DVDs, they're not all equal in terms of difficulty. Some, like the Incredible Results Deluxe, offer a range of intensity options, so you can start off slowly and ease yourself into the more challenging workouts. Others, like Strong High Intensity, are geared towards more experienced users who are looking for the best possible routine.

The reason why Strong High Intensity earned the top spot over some of the more comprehensive options is because it's a challenging workout that can continue delivering results with continued use. Assuming you stick with your routine, you'll likely soon outgrow the beginner's classes anyway, and you'll need a workout that consistently challenges you.

While Zumba is designed to use only your own bodyweight for resistance, you may still want to invest in a few accessories. An aerobic stepper is a smart choice, as it adds an extra degree of difficulty without also adding a lot of bulk. And if you do your workouts late at night or early in the morning, consider investing in apology cards for the neighbors.

After getting his bachelor’s from the University of Texas, Quincy Miller moved out to Los Angeles, where he soon found work as a copywriter and researcher, specializing in health and wellness topics for a major online media brand. Quincy is also knowledgeable about home improvement, as he’s had extensive experience with everything from insulation to power tools to emergency room trips, sometimes in that order. Sharing a home with three dogs and a couple of cats has forced Quincy to learn as much as he can about pet supplies, animal nutrition and, most importantly, the best ways to tackle the mountains of fur that accumulate in every corner of your home.
