Editor's Notes

August 17, 2020:

We've made sure to look for hangers appropriate for a variety of garments, ultimately adding the upgraded version of the DoIown Organizers as a top choice, along with the Magicool Cami, a new addition. The DoIown model now has five swing arms, rather than four, giving it just that much more usability. As for the Magicool model, it was made for items with straps, such as bras and camisoles. The Cresnel Ultra Thin can also accommodate such items, but these hangers aren't quite as strong, so you'll want to treat them gently.

We also opted to keep two hanger holders, the Wonder Hanger Max and the IPow Magic. These rotate downward to hold several hangers in a line, taking advantage of the vertical space in your closet. While this can be a great way to save space, it may not work for those who have placed storage bins or drawers under their hanging clothing. In this case, the Frezon Mini might be a better choice, as this option allows for more control over the length of the hanger chain. They don't actually come with any hangers, but they work well with most versions, including the velvet type, although not with large wood models.

November 16, 2018:

We made sure to include hangers dedicated to every type of clothing item. We also looked for materials that would keep your clothes from slipping off, and for well-designed units that wouldn't easily fall off a closet rod. In addition, we've made sure to select some higher-end models for business professionals, as well as more affordable choices for students and those on a budget.
